The Foul Weather Parka (FWP) is made of 100% nylon with a GORE-TEX® protective membrane (waterproof, windproof and breathable) which makes this garment contamination-resistant to diesel fuel, jet fuel, DEET, petroleum, oils and lubricants. The FWP features two external cargo pockets, two hand warmer pockets, a stowable hood, a hidden map pocket, a rank tab, and elastic and Velcro® wrist closures. Unlike the All Weather Parka (AWP), the FWP has a storm flap at the collar and is longer in length (designed to cover the Untucked ODU coat). The original AWP and newer FWP are both authorized.
